Daily work at PowerItalia – Alfa 159 Ti service
January 15th, 2012
Today we are to service Richards Alfa 159 Ti sport wagon.
Remove the under tray and drain the oil from the sump plug as pictured.
Whilst that’s left to drain you can replace the air filter located in front of the drivers wheel. The air filters are always filthy so it’s important that they are replaced.
Now we can replace the oil filter pictured here.
Undo the filter cap using an extension bar and socket like this.
The cap comes off with the filter attached. Pull off the filter and fit the new one.
Refit that and move on to the fuel filter.
Remove the fuel hoses from the top of the filter, the loose the black bracket and undo the sensor connector on the bottom of the filter.
Filter removed, the black sensor will need swapping to the new one.
Just unscrew the sensor, the new filter will have a new rubber seal with it so discard the old one. just screw it into the new filter by hand.
Fit the new filter to the car and bleed the air from the filter using the bleed screw on top of the filter.
The pollen filter is up next, and can be found in the glovebox behind a removable panel. Sadly we have no pictures of the change, but we’ll add some later.
